Hi Friends! Happy Friday! I hope you have had a great week and will enjoy this upcoming weekend! My mom, David and I just returned from a 10 day trip in Honduras visiting my mom’s side of the family. It was a great time, but now we are back in freezing NJ and are planning to stay warm and relax with my mom before she flies back to NC tomorrow.
For my first solo post, I wanted to share with you a few blogs that inspire me. I have always enjoyed reading other blogs which is part of the reason I wanted to start one. Some of the blogs I’ve read have belonged to friends, while others I do not know the writer but really enjoy the content. I will rotate through different ones, but there are a few staples that I always keep coming back to. A few of those staples are as follows:
Cupcakes and cashmere is written by blogger Emily. Most posts involve fashion, beauty, and food inspiration. I always like that the posts are short and to the point. All pictures are amazing and I’ve even tried some of the (simpler) DIY items myself.
Zuzka Light is pretty much the sh*t. She is a ripped bad ass and shares awesome workouts and recipes. Some workouts are free, but I pay a monthly fee of $9.99 to be a member and have access to all her ZGYM workouts. She is down to earth and the ZGYM community is so positive. I love that her workouts are short and I can do them at home. Especially in the middle of NY winters.
The Fitnessista is the first blog that I started reading regularly. The writer, Gina, is a military wife, mom, and fitness instructor. Her blog actually introduced me to the ones I’ve listed above. Her work/life balance is inspiring. She shares anything from family to fitness to recipes to even a little fashion. I have tried and bookmarked several recipes and really like her “everything in moderation” attitude.
So as you can tell from the blogs I’ve listed, I like fitness, cooking, some DIY projects, and a little fashion and beauty. You can expect me to write about all of those things in this blog along with my passion for traveling.
Be on the lookout for a couple Honduras recaps from David and myself! In the meantime, I will post a couple of sneak peak photos that I took on my iPhone.

That’s all I’ve got for now. To make up for my lack in photos, I’ve created my first GIF. My night time ritual of washing my face. Yeah, we have fun 🙂
Have a good weekend!
